Another great knife Matt! That is one serious bowie; great hardening line, grinds, handle, and guard.

What size stock did you start with? If you forged that from 1.5x.25 I'm impressed :).

Thanks fellas, stock started life as 1.5 x .25, 1075. I was about to give up on using 1075 as i was getting very odd heat treating results (on multiple blades) using all the "normal" steps and my Paragon. Tried various heats, soaks, normalizition steps, oil temps etc..... They just werent hardening properly.

Finally said to hell with all that and began using my forge to heat treat in like i used too.... all the previous issues i was having with 1075 vanished immediately. So now im pretty much using my Paragon for just tempering and annealing. Funny how i get much better results using my eyes and "feel".

You just gotta trust your gut when heat treating, no fancy piece of equipment can take the place of watching the blade and responding in kind. :)

I really like that.
Crod Dundee meets good craftsmanship meets "say hello to my little friend."

Best bowie I've seen here in a while, congrats!

Handle looks great on it.
