Hello all,
Here is one of my Bowies with a Sheffield style blade. I feel a real connection with the Sheffield style bowies and I will try to post them a bit more often.
The steel is Flat ground to .030 at edge bevel CPM 154 CM .202 thick 1.75 high and 9.375 from tip to guard. It has been heat treated with cryo quench in a timely manner and double tempered 2 hrs ea. time. The blade has been mirror finished without a scratch and then brushed to 1200 grit. O/A is 14.625 in.
Fittings are 416 stainless. Guard is soldered perfectly with silver solder.
Handle is fossil Walrus
Sheath is a 9-10 ounce custom loop sheath with stingray inlay made by me. The knife has a nice friction fit that holds very well upside down.
Asking $1450.00 plus $25.00 shipping conus. I accept paypal Thank you Alan
