This large Bowie was made by a friend in Charlotte Ray Clontz,he mainly does accessories for civil war reinactors.He makes canteens,lanterns etc. a very sharp guy.These knives look period,made of 5160 steel,this one has a huge handle made of stag.All brass for guard and butt cap,through tang, flat grind with a convex edge,you can see the temper line,but not in the photos.Don't be afraid to use this one-a man's knife
