Up for sale is a big camp knife or chopper. It was hand forged from Aldo's 1095 flat stock. The spine measures approximately 3/16 with a blade width of just under 2 inches. The sheath was made from 9-10 ounce vegetable tanned leather. It was made to allow the knife to be drawn and replaced vertically or the blade can be lifted about 1/3 it's length and removed or replaced through the front. It is securely held in the sheath by two leather straps. The handle strap also makes the sheath a rigid vertical sheath when secured but when it is released the sheath is free to rotate forward, backward, or out to the side for ease of carry when sitting or riding. Here are the specs on the blade:

Steel- 1095fg x 3/16
AOL- just shy of 18 inches
HT- In house- blade was normalized 3 times before quenching. Tempered for two 2 hour cycles
Finish- Hand sanded to 1000 grit then back sanded with 600 grit for nice satin finish
Blade- 11 7/8 inches to front of scales
Grind- Flat ground with roomy finger choil for added control when required. Two lanyard holes, the ricasso hole is 1/4 inch and the tang hole is 3/8 inch.
Edge- Polished convex edge is scary sharp!!!!
Handle- Just under 6 inches
Scales- Black Walnut contoured scales with double palm swells. Extremely comfortable with zero hot spots.
Hardware- Six 1/8 stainless pins
Sheath- RH hand sewn leather made from 9-10 ounce vegetable tanned leather. hand tooled and finished it protects the blade for a worry free comfortable carry. (see details above)
