Although I probably should have already known by the time I ordered it, I'm not into carrying fixed blades, so this one should go to a better home. This is a design I drew out and Chris made for me, patterned after the traditional Scottish "Skean Dhu". The blade is 3.5" with an overall length of 8", crafted from CPM-3V hardened to either 59-60 HRC. The stock is .165" but it is ground extremely thin with a very acute edge. The handles are Jade G10 with black liners, which makes it look like actual Jade and not just a translucent green. It's very beautiful in person but the color may be washed out in the pictures. I intentionally had Chris make very thin, flat scales to make this carry comfortable.
I have never carried or sharpened this knife, but it is not perfect; while handling it once, I dropped it and the edge suffered a little bit of rolling about 1/2 an inch from the tip. Furthermore, the kydex sheath (which fits very well and comes with an IWB loop) came to me scratching the blade up quite noticeably. I did my best to take pictures of the scratches, which is difficult because of the reflective satin finish. I have cleaned any grit from the sheath so it no longer scratches, but at present they're quite obvious and unattractive. The photos of them have been edited to show the scratches better.
