I'm in pretty much the same boat. Staggering work Will, staggering.

Saw this on Instagram, Will. What a knife! It's one of the best bowies I've seen, I love when there is plenty of belly on a knife and you've delivered on that.

Why did you opt for quite a plain handle versus a shaped and contoured grip?

Thanks mate!
I opted for the plain handle because I knew it would work well with the overall design, particularly the guard. Long sweeping lines.

You really outdid yourself on this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"That's not a knife.....THIS is a knife!!!!!!" :D

Glad you like it! ;)

Bowie of the year.

I, for one, love the handle. Don't get me wrong, shaping and contouring can be nice, but lately the ones I'm seeing have almost become caricatures of one another. This stands out because it IS its own knife. Totally agree with you - the flow of every element works effortlessly with one another.

Sweep and belly of that blade are going to keep me awake at night...

I love the blade shape. And overall as well. Great hamon. Beautiful knife, though I think it can be considered a short saber:) It looks really fast as well. I am wondering what is the weight of this masterpiece.
Best regards
Giedymin

Thanks for responding Will. There is a beautiful flow through from blade to handle. I just wondered with such a belly and being a big Bowie I'd like something anchoring that blade in my hand, possibly a function over aesthetic, though I think you are right too as I can picture very contoured making the knife very busy.

You're right; I think it would benefit functionally from a more contoured grip.

It doesn't feel like it's going to slip out of your hand as it is now, but it doesn't grab your hand back in that reassuring way that some handles do.

I love this knife! Your work is great but this one is incredible. The shape, guard, materials and finish.....there is nothing I don't like about it.

i cant focus on any one part lol
first i start admiring the blade shape then i start looking at the hamon when i start thinking of the time and skill involved then back at square one
its nice to see it here on bladeforums, instagram the screen is to small lol

Been watching this one, along with all your other stuff, on IG. It's certainly a thing of beauty. All the nastiness and grace you can fit in one piece.

Everything.
That is what I love about this knife. Man what a thing of beauty.

You have a good eye for what works together.
Combined with super clean work makes for another beautiful knife.
Great looking knife Will......as usual!

Long ago I wrote that a great knife should be able to be reduced to a simple line drawing and even with out ginger bread command respect ....... this knife does it on spades :)
