Big Day Today

Exciting times ahead! Congratulations on completing your career arc. Now you get to get busy doing whatever you want!

Well folks, today is my 73rd birthday. I also retire from the jewelry business after over 50 years. I have been at Either-Ore Jewelers for the past 38 years since it opened.
I am throwing a BIG party for all the ladies who have worked with me today. There will be 25 people here. Lots of great food, beverages, and old stories. Looking forward to not having to go to work at 6AM tomorrow.
I have surgery on the 31st to remove a neuroendicrine tumor at the tip of my pancreas. Not a big deal and no long recuperation. After that, the new shop will get finished up and I'll be going strong by summer. I have soooo many knives ready to go.
Awesome and congratulations!!! I am really excited for you!

It was an awesome party.
Here are some photos of the food I fixed.
I will have a group photo of all the ladies from the store as soon as the person who took it emails it to me. (If you guys have been around my posts a long time you might remember that one of them was a Playboy Bunny in her younger days.)
The last photo is a bottle of Balvenie 21 and a special decanter they had made to hold it.Party - charcuterie.jpgParty - oyster shooters.jpgParty -food.jpgParty -pastrami and smoked pork.jpgParty -food (2).jpgParty -sushi.jpgParty -champagne.jpgParty -crab.jpgParty -cheeses.jpgBalvenie 21.jpg
