Hello Everyone,

I have been EDC'ing my Spyderco Centofante III for a while now and have been VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE KNIFE....It is currently my only Spyderco Knife and I have my eye on some other ones.

I am currently looking at getting the Persian or the Stretch

I was hoping some one could take some simple comparison pics for me of either the Persian or Stretch next to the Centofante or even a pic that has all 3....or a comparison pic of the Persian and/or Stretch next to a Full Size Benchmade Griptilian...

Also I would love to hear your opinions on these 2 knives

Thanks :thumbup::thumbup:

Don't have a Centofante 3, but I do have a Vesuvius which, aside from the lock, is the same knife.

Both the C83 Persian and the Stretch II are excellent knives, you really could not go wrong with either. The upcoming FRN Stretch II and the C83 Persian are about the same thickness as the Centofantes, the CF Stretch II is about 25% thinner. The Stretch has been a favorite of mine since it was introduced. While a great design, the original stainless/Kraton version was handicapped by its handle. The Stretch II fixed that and is, in my opinion, the best "working" blade Spyderco has ever produced. It's totally ambidextrous and totally user configurable for carry. It fits my hand perfectly, the 14mm Spyderhole makes it extremely easy to open, and the full flat ground blade cuts like a demon.

The C83 Persian is, to my eyes, the best looking knife Spyderco has ever sold and, like the Stretch, feels great in the hand. Downside of them, right now, is that they're hard to find and commanding a premium. Of course the upside of that is, if you should land one and decide you don't like it, you'd have a very easy job finding someone willing to take it off your hands.

Thanks Deacon! That's the first good image I've seen on the 2002 SF Vesuvius, and it's pretty to my eyes!

For some reason I thought the Stretch was much bigger. I might "have" to pick one up when the FRN models are released.
