Spending a day in the winter woods,

Making big wood smaller,

Making small wood smaller yet,

Not bad for a big honkin knife with a factory edge,

Fruits of our labor,

Hasn't anyone told you yet? You can't do that with a big knife.

Smaller wood being made smaller.

So I've been told. But then again listening to others has never been my strong suit.
When I read and hear all the rules of bushcraft today. i feel I wasted my life in the woods.

Then I hear the crackle of a small fire as it fights for life.

Reveling in the blaze it becomes, and all is right with the world,

A custom Indoor Problem Solver I just finished. S7 @ .125" hardened to 57RC.

If there was a 'like' button, I would've liked your post. That's badass knife.

Thanks. I'll be making a companion left hand knife next month. This one is 21" overall. The companion piece will be 14" overall.

SCHF26?

As a guy who still carries a Bear's Head from 1955, that interests me.

Have a full on shot?

I took a Full on pic tonight for the fish fire we had tonight out at my favorite spot on the river out back. Good knife, great design, good steel and a spectacular heat treat. my photo storage site is being a little brat right now. After they upload I will put some up.

Here ya go. It's a stubby 5.5" blade but the recurve adds cutting surface, the blade is growing on me.

It don't know it's so short and it tears up anything I throw at it. From chopping to making feathers that would make any mora jealous. I split a 8" fat very dry ash log tonight by chopping down the outer edges then quartering it when I got it small enough. The blade just eats it up. That crappy not even worth a though of getting 8cr13mov blade is amazing with their heat treat at 58-60HRC. It won't bend chip or dent the edge and is tough with much longer edge life than any 1095 blade I have. Still just as easy to sharpen as 1095. Yup it's stainless, another no no as the experts say. I just lol.
