11" of obsidian knife here! all hand knapped by Teddy Pruitt (me)
$85. w free s/h to US

might be putting a few more on here

for those of you who want to know about obsidian , check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsidian
and this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knapping

Now, let it be known that Obsidian, being a natural "glass" can be very sharp,
but also very brittle. So this is not a type of blade you would want for everyday use (thats what all the quality steel blades listed on this site are for) but should be considered "collectible art pieces" reminescent of the stone age, before man learned the superior properties of iron and steel.

All the blades are hafted to a whitetail antler handle, using high strength epoxy and artificial sinew. I do not offer a sheath, as you will most likely put this in your display case anyways.

That is so Awesome , I can't believe it, an the price is just unreal. one day I might get me one for my primitive camping dress an I'll make my own sheath, just bought a knife today or I would have this one, please keep making these, you do great work.

Interesting " still used in surgical scalpels".
How would it be if actually used in a paring knife application ?

I was able to rescue 009 from the clutches of the Postal Service this morning. It looks even better in person than in the pictures. Thanks much,Ted.
