Just wanted to see who else is out there. I carry a Buck Strider Tanto and love it. People say "how can you carry such a big knife". I tell them, "you just put it in your pocket". Not to hard huh? Anyhow, what do you carry?

When I carry a big folder, I go with the SIFU. Down the road, maybe a DDR Madd Maxx or Scorpion II. Kit Carson's BAK looks like an option.

why aren't more people happy?

At this point the largest folder that I carry is also a Buck Strider, but soon my Madd Maxx by Darrel Ralph will arrive and I will be carrying a knife with a 5.5 inch blade. It was mailed a couple of days ago, I can hardly wait.

Keith.

Socom Elite or Rekat Carnivore are about the largest I feel comfortable carrying on a regular basis. Also BM 710.

I carry a BM 710 daily. I never thought of it as BIG. I always thought that it was just "right".

Hardly noticeable due to the deep clip but a 4" blade.

Not "big" at all compared to a SIFU or Mad Maxx!!

I love big folders!
Most of the time I carry my knives in the leg pocket of cargo pants, so large size is not an issue. I have a Sifu, CS Vaquero Grande,Madd Maxx prototype, SOG PE2, A one-off 5.5" Carson M-16, a Madd Maxx Dagger blade and a 7" Madder Maxx on order. There is no really good reason for carrying a knife that big except for the fact that they are cool! I suppose there would be an intimidation factor if one were ever drawn in self defense. I liken it to the guys that drive 150 MPH sports cars and hardly exceed the speed limit. It is just good to know it is there. I think the Madd Maxx phenomenon will bring a whole new wave of big blade lovers!

I carry sometimes a SOGwinder 2 that I purchased some seven years ago or more. It's a little bit on the heavy side by today's standards, but I love that heft and the strong blade is something from which comfort and security can be derived.

I sometimes carry a Kershaw XXL Starkey Ridge

I'm sporting my Military these days. It's both usefull for common cutting chores, and totally intimidating for would-be muggers.

The DDR large Apogee will soon be joined by a Strider custom folder. Who says being a beauty and a beast are mutually exclusive?

I carry my Cold Steel plain-edge Clip-Point Voyager clipped inside my front pocket.

That bad boy really has a LARGE (WIDE) blade, for a "folder".

I've been carrying a Tom Mayo large TNT. One word: awesome.
From what I hear Tom's XL models get the same response, just a little louder: AWESOME!!

Normal everyday blade is a bm710 plain edge, satin blade finish natch, carried iwb...my always there blade. Never thought about it being big though. Some days though the Sifu just kinda calls to me. It usually travels weak side front iwb canted outboard. Carried this way the bad boy just seems to dissappear. Course what lots of folks think is a 'normal' knife always rides quietly tucked into the small watch pocket in my jeans. When someone wants to cut a string or something thats what usually comes out..the little 2blade Case.
