Big Folder Carriers, where are you?

Most of the time I carry my REKAT Sifu in a kydex vertical-carry belt sheath by Mike Sastre. When I'm not wearing a jacket and want to keep it quiet I carry the Sifu clipped inside my right front pocket instead. I can draw reasonably fast from my pocket, but my draw from kydex takes less than half the time.

5" CS Gunsite, normally in the hip pocket of my jeans. Occasionally in the side/tools pocket of my carpenter jeans.

Hey Dirk. Do you, uh, suppose, uh that maybe you could see it to loan me $800 til Tuesday or a little later so I can get me that KFF? Since only about 5.5" is blade, that is definitely too much handle to put in my pocket! Whoooeee!

On school days I carry a 710 or AFCK. To me these aren't big knives, they're full size. On nights and weekends I carry the D2 Sifu IWB in a clip sheath. It's close to perfect, but I always wonder how it'd look with a 6.5" blade...

sometimes carry cold steel large gunsite in right pants pocket, and BM AFCK in left, especially in the summer when i cant carry my MOD razorback sheath knife cuz ya cant conceal it - is legal carried openly, but looks, well , its not me LOL - like to wear under sweatshirt/coat/shirt in winter

There ain't nothing like a MADD MAXX!! That is what I have been carrying for the past couple of weeks and loving it. Also would like to get ahold of a Carson BAK.

I often carry a Vaquero Grande or a CRKT Crawford/Kasper (large). While the Kasper is heavy enough to pull on my front pocket a bit, the Grande rides just fine. When I can afford a SIFU, it will be carried too. Seems to me that the shape and weight have more to do with "carry-ability" than the size does. Your own demeanor largely determines whether your carry knife is noticed or not. On weekends, I almost always carry a 4" fixed blade on my right hip, and have yet to have anyone notice it, as far as I can tell. This includes shopping and dining in restaurants on a regular basis. When my FBs stay home, large folders rule!

Great replies!! I just got a 5" Gunsite today. It may be the new biggie in my life!

I agree with Al. I have some knives smaller than the MM but they are thicker and do not ride well in my pocket. What I like about the MADD MAXX is how well it does ride in my pocket. It rides deep but is thin enough as to not print. DO NOT read that as less than sturdy though as this is as sturdy a folder as I have ever handled!

yes perhaps its my demeanor lol - no i think it just makes me self concious to carry a folder openly - i guess i dont wanna draw attention to the fact thaton the other side of my waist (right) is a Glock 33, also carried legally - i dont know maybe if every one concentrated on the knife.......................lol

As long as i can wear a jacket or vest, i carry a Sifu or a Vaquero Grande in a pocket.
Sifu to town/work, VG when walking with the dog just because i dont want to use the Sifu on wooden sticks. (It still is factory-sharp!)
On hot days the big stuff had to go to the rucksack or a funnypack, i call it transportation than, not carry because it is slow to bring them out.
Always backed up by a 4" folder, 99% my Böker/Brend.
