Trying to decide on a big folder and have narrowed it down to these here:

1. Al Mar Sere 2000
2. Camillus MAXX with bowie blade
3. Spyderco Manix
4. Cold steel voyager with 5 inch blade
5. Buck Strider 880
6. Spyderco Police with serrations
7. SOG vision

Alright well theres my list. I'm trying to narrow it down to one and not having much luck. So i would like some help from you all to tell me which knife you like the best out of the 7. Also tell me if theres one on there i should take off for one reason or another. Well thanks:)

I like the Al Mar Sere which will probably be my next knife. Don't forget about the Lone Wolf Harsey folder or Harsey T2 and the Emerson CQC-10 or 12.

Out of those you listed I would go with the Manix. Great lock, great blade shape, flat grind and great handle. I also own the SOG Vision and love that knife to death, i would love it even more if it didnt have the serrations.

I'd say get a Vaquero Grande. Among the knives you listed, the Manix would be my pick.
I have a Vaquero Grande...That thing is beyond "big"...It's HUGE!.:D.

I have the 5" voyager plain edge, and really like it alot. Came very sharp, smooth opening, solid lockup.

I also have vaquero grande, but I'm not a big fan of cold steel's serration pattern. The voyager xp plain edge will be the next folder from cold steel I will be purchasing(has a 6" blade).

Get the Manix! I cant say enough good things about it. Its the best knife purchase ive made so far. Its just....perfect!

Ok i changed my mind.I like the manix and all but i want a knife with a thick tip and point. Any other ideas?

I just bought a Benchmade Skirmish 630 and LOVE it! It's big but handles really well and the action is as smooth as a swiss watch.

Of all the knives you listed, I only have the Maxx. It is a great folder, but has a thinnish tip. The Rukus may be one for you to look at. It has a nice point and has a good thick cross section too it. It is my newest folder and I am quite fond of it. Check out some of the reviews of it. It may be worth you looking into.;)

Which of those has the thickest blade? I'm looking for a stout blade that can take any kind of abuse

I'm not sure about which has the thickest blade in the objective sense because it doesn't really matter. If you want a knife that can take abuse, get the Manix. It is a masochist. It's sort of scary sometimes how I abuse mine and it just laughs with that crazy look on its face and begs for more.
