As far as I can sense, the balance point is just in front of the handle. It has a good chop to it when you swing, but not too much. If you get what I mean :confused: ;)

@GRIM 62: it easily dwarfs all the big knives I allready had e.g. Chopweiler, Son of Dogfather, Jeremy Horton Camp Blood,... etc etc the quote That's not a knife, THIS is a knife.... readily comes to mind :D
 
My Survivor arrived yesterday and the size of it is awesome, so I can only imagine what you're feeling with the Big-gun:eek: For such a big blade it is surprisingly light though. The Survivor balances "in-the-ring", but it is still slightly blade heavy according to my rudimentary test (insert finger in ring, see which side rotates downward), which is nice. I cannot wait to use mine. What type of tree are you planning to chop down?:D

Nice score Chib......congrats. Better be careful shaving the arm hair.....one slip and you're wife's gonna be opening your ketchup bottles for the rest of your life!!
