How does that rifle shoot BTW?

The other day I went with a buddy to shoot rabbits and prairie dogs. I hadn't shot the rifle or even pulled it out of the safe since the deer hunt last October. We mostly shot prairie dogs with out AR's. Finally we spotted a little bunny in the distance but all we could see was it's head over a rock with the body still hidden. We ranged him at a little over 500 yards. I told my buddy I wanted to hit him with my 308 so I pulled it out, dialed in the NF and zoomed in to 22 power. This was a cold barrel shot, first in almost 5 months, shooting from my hood which for me is a little awkward since I'm so tall and I prefer prone shooting. He was down with the first shot. I can shoot 3/4 MOA all day long with it and when I do my part have shot 1/2 MOA out to 800 yards with it. I am no marksman by any means so that says a lot for the gun. I have done nothing to it other than put a box mag on it so I am tickled pink with this rifle.

Sounds like your more of a marksmen then you give yourself credit for:)

And he knows his dope settings. A 500y cold bore shot at a 2" target, yeah, he's got some skills.

Well it was actually more like a 3-4" target, but thanks. I have spent some time working up my dope and have a sweet program that helps me adjust for temp and altitude. I know just enough about shooting to know that there are some incredible marksmen out there that do some amazing things. I just enjoy it as an occasional hobby so I am anything but.

Nice group. Is the bottom a milled Arsenal by any chance?

It certainly is. You have a keen eye.

And btw, I just want Uncle Obama to know that I don't really own any guns. Guns are dangerous and should only be owned by the secret police. These are just pictures I stole off the internet.

Good call, me too!:D

Here's something I threw together. Not big in size but big in capacity. Fifty rounds of 5.7 ride up top and eject through the magwell.

Give me a Busse long-blade any day. I'll cut these barrels right off.
:p
does this story ring a bell?

I just thought about this Lunde, so what is your largest rifle???:D
Unfortunately, I have no photos of my largest rifle, which is a McMillan 50 BMG Heavy Benchrest with 36-inch barrel and Nightforce scope. It weighs about 50 pounds.
