Big hands, small Sebenza ?

I know this topic has been raised in different ways many times before, my particular twist is this- are there any big handed individulas out there [like myself] who prefer the small Sebenza to the larger version for EDC ?
Am about to plunk down some hard-earned on my third Sebenza purchase in 15yrs[ hot on the trail of a 21, maybe an Insingo], for the first time contemplating a small for EDC.
What do you say, any big-mitted batters out there who feel good about a small Seb and prefer it to the large ?

I have medium hands and a small sebie. It's OK until I need to really bear down then it gets tough to control and hold on to. When it's wet, forget about it, very hard to hold onto and control is not even there. Greasy or oily hands, won't even try it again after the first time I had slippery hands with it.

It does tear down easy to clean after a day's worth of messy work though. It's a well engineered piece of metal, the lock bar don't wear a bit and fit and finish is hard to beat. Looks great too.

I use mine a bunch but will go get a different knife if things are going to get greasy, slippery or wet.

I have XL hands and can't imagine going with anything smaller than the Large Sebenza 21. It fits just right in my hand. In the pocket they "print" (that's a gun term) about the same anyway... So I absolutely prefer the larger grip size on the Large Sebenza along with the "more to love" larger blade size.

I carried a lefty small Sebenza for years and I do have large hands. Well, at least fat fingers. My pinky hangs off the end a bit, but that never bothered me. I carried it rather than the large lefty I have mainly to comply with state laws at the time. I got so used to it that the large one seems too big to me now.

I will say that if I worked outdoors rather than in an office environment, I probably would have gone with the large one. Maybe...

The bottom line, though, is that the small Sebbie served me without fail for a number of years and I never, not once, wished I'd had the large one with me. The only reason that I'm not still carrying it is that Tennessee changed our laws and I can now carry an auto.

I wear large size gloves, and really like the small Sebenza for general EDC. Works great for me (just received my 3rd today), but I have a desk job, and don't really do a lot of hard use tasks. Weekends and such outside of work, I prefer a larger folder.

I can hold a basket ball upside down with one hand but a small Sebenza gets lost. Had two sold two.

Even the larger ones are on the small side. I now favor the larger ZT knives for fit and feel as an EDC. But also love smaller Traditionals for whittling.

I have big hands, XL gloves. I have several large and 2 small CRK's. The large fits my hand much better than the small. I tied a small

piece of raw hide in the lanyard hole of the small to make the scales long enough for my hand. I tied a medium size knot at the end of the rh

to fit tight against my little finger. This is only way I can carry 1 of my small CRK's. I much rather carry a large, but I like the lighter weigh of

small. The blade on the small is big enough for most uses.

Agree with many of you, I think I was trying to talk myself into a small, really don't know why. All three of my previous Seb-y's have been large, fitting my hands pefectly. Which of course explains why I stupidly sold them to move into something else.
And as always happens, sooner or later, I come back again.

Why would you go small? (weight, blade lenght)
How do you carry it? (pocket, pouch, ..)
Micarta inlays can improve grip, a lanyard can give you a bit more to grap.
Another question is: How do you handle it?
I found some smaller knives to better fit my hand than slightly large ones, but then each hand is different.
All the best.

I wear large gloves and my main complaint about most knives is that the handles/scales are too small. I find a small Sebenza with inlays to be very comfortable. I haven't tried a large so I can't comment on it.
