These knives are well balanced and at about a pound each they stick HARD. Throwing them is addictive! I have been throwing them every chance I get, and it's a great activity to share with your kids. They have a gnarly "as ground" finish with mill scale - I've smoothed the edges and removed burrs. They are balanced to be thrown by the handle.
