Recommendation? Big heavy and simplistic folders which are easy to clean?

My first thought was a Buck 110 but then you specified liner lock, so Id say a CRKT Homefront. Theyre made for disassembly and its a liner lock I believe. A frame lock would also be good, itd be like your liner lock but with less pieces.
I still would recommend a traditional knife though. Heres why: I am a hunter and outdoorsman. I use knives and get them really dirty. I have used modern knives to do dirty jobs before, but they get so gunked up..... Modern knives have too many nooks and crannies that cant be easily cleaned. A Case Trapper or a Buck 110 does not. You dont need to take them apart, you just hose them out occasionally. Its a lot easier than dealing with gunked up modern folders I can tell you.
Also, a slipjoint or backlock is more reliable than a liner lock when dirty, since it doesnt rely on friction on a small surface.
Good luck, I hope you find what youre looking for.

Just out of curiosity, which folders have you been trying to do this on?
So far a CRKT Firespark and a Boker Resurrection. Not thrilled with the Firespark since mine was a pain to deal with since it kept locking shut and refused to open. The Boker I just love it but there was so much blade wobble I took it apart. Looks like I need an upgrade on the washers. Boker rep said they couldn’t help me and didn’t know the size of the washers.

You specifically mentioned liner locks in your OP. Is that the only lock type you are considering atm?

Price range?

A frame lock with pillar construction is probably the easiest to disassemble, clean, and put back together.
At this point I’m open to other locks. Trying to not go over $100.00. I’ve been looking at a few possible options in the exchange.

What color SOCOM are you gonna order?
Glad you asked. I love my Socom. That is my current favorite of my folders. Not in the budget for another though. Mine is tan. Glad to have a splash of color since most of my modern folders have black scales.

I’d recommend a Buck 110. Big heavy simplistic, better than a liner lock, easy to clean.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I never felt the need to disassemble a knife for cleaning. Many animals have been field dressed with Buck 110s without a problem. Just hold it under a faucet, apply a drop of lube and repeat for 50 years until you leave it to your heirs.

I agree no need to disassemble a 110 to clean. Even cleaning fish. Swish it around in the lake water, hose it off at home with good hot water. A little mineral oil on the wood and the pivot. Good to go.

I wore out 2 Buck 110’s in 25 years, sent them to Buck for new blades. Still using them everyday. I’d have to really baby one to get 50 years out of it. Lol.

Emerson knives are pretty easy to take apart. Small phillips head screw driver and a flat head is all that’s needed.

Email sent and I can receive PMs again. Would appreciate hearing from you when you get a chance buddy.
