Big Khuks Grew On Me

The big ones are fun. Why use a 1 1/2 lb. 15" AK to whack a tree when you can use a 6 1/4 lb. 30" AK to demolish it? They're all fun. :D

Now that definitely *IS* too much of a good thing (grin).

Josh is right the 18" Ak is huge...untill you pick up the 25" AK. My 25" AK (thanks/sorry Dan) weighs in at about 4 1/2 pounds. My Fox Folly is a tad under 3 lbs. After swinging those brutes the 21" Chit seems like a feather, my 18" a great "small chopper". I will try to get a few pics up.

Had a similar experience with my 18" Siru and GS. By the time I'd spent the last few weeks handling the 20" Chitlangi and now my 18" AK, when I picked up my 18" Gelbu and Sirupati they felt like, well, like you said, a feather.

Don-- the 25" AK's usually run somewhere around five pounds. HI also makes a 30" AK:eek: I haven't had the pleasure of handling one of these, but based on my impression of the 25" AK, the 30" is definitely on my list.

Mark-- great pic-- really shows the size difference. It also makes me want a Fox's Folly more than ever. That is one big-bellied blade!

Well, I guess I've seen everything now - a Crew-Served Khukuri (grin).

I think I coined a new acronym - CSK.

Let's see, the 25" AK ought to be the MCSK or Medium Crew-Served Khuk. The 30-incher would be the HCSK or Heavy Crew-Served Khukuri. The Light CSK might be the Foxy Folly or the 20-incher.
