Big loud folders

May sound crazy but I love big (about 4 inch or longer blade), loud click upon lock up blades. Not only loud and big blade, but also heavy weight ones. Some of my current favorites are CS Spartan, BM Bedlam, Boker Resurrection, and ZT 0200.

Anyone else here like these features too? If so, what are your favorites?

From the knives I have owned none makes a louder noise upon opening than an Emerson being waved. (Especially the 4 inch plus models)

They make an extremely loud *CRACK!* noise as they are waved open. Guaranteed everyone in a 30 yard radius will look at you nervously.

My ZT 0301 scares everybody - including me.

Kinda wish I would have held on to this bad boy but selling it helped me out at the time.

So funny, I'm the direct opposite. Largest blade I own is 3.6", a ZT 0095.

Loudest opening folder? Probably the ZT.

Is that a good thing?

I came to post this. I have a 303 and it has a mighty clack. I would say my 630 is louder simply because the wave deployment really gets the blade swinging.

Special honors goes to my 920. With a 4" blade and solid metal handle, I can generate some noise with it if i sorta "roll my r's" on the flipper tab.

The big lockbacks are generally quite loud. Of the ones I've had, the Spyderco Manix, Cold Steel Recon 1 and Kershaw 1050 Folding Field all make a highly satisfying sound. The "loudest, sharpest snap" -award still goes to my CTS-204P Spyderco Military, the steel liner hits the tang ramp at just enough angle and distance to make it really audible.

I have carried a Spyderco Military for years and years...

I love the sound of the liner hitting the tang!

I even 'cup' the handle to get a more satisfying whack...

there is the softer 'click' of passing the detent, then the SMACK of the liner on the tang...

one of my favorite knife knoises

While I enjoy the solid lockup of my Nirvana and K2 I don’t feel like they need to announce their presence.

You know the whole “‘“ use your close proximity voice and tote a large piece of a tree”’” kind of thing.
