I got this today when UPS stopped. Hope to get it tried out soon, I have the Condor version as well, should be fun. The sheath has two pockets on the fdront, comes with a sharpening stone in one of them. Shouls work well for a folder as well. This would have you ready for anything. It is 15 1/4 inches OAL about five inches of handle. Some kind of hardwood. I may see if someone wants to put a Micarta grip on it for me.

Looks like it will be great for clearing shooting lanes and chopping. How thick is the blade?

Just got mine a few minutes ago.

The blade is about .075" thick, including orange paint. It rings like a bell when tapped. Very machete-like. Edge bevel is very well sharpened and polished. Weighs about 12.5 oz. The tang extends about 2/3 the way into the crudely finished wooden handle, which appears to be something like pine and dipped in lacquer. OAL is about 15 5/16". The sheath seems like it might be OK, if it opened on the spine side rather than on the edge side. Some pix in comparison to my Tram baby bolo.

Handle looks a bit suspect - but the blade is pretty cool. Also it is BLAZING ORANGE !!! Can't go wrong with that!

Let us know how well it works!

I'll probably stick to the original Condor model, but thanks for postin' it up! Can't wait to see how it does for you!

Sweet lord that's a bright blade. It looks like a very capable chopper. I'll have to agree with kgd about the handle, but I bet it's solid nonetheless.

Magnussen,

Hard to tell from the side view, but did that old boy run about 340 or so?

Very nice bull!

Looks like a versatile user for sure. Although,I confess, when I read Big Marbles,I thought you were talking about what we used to call dough rollers when we were kids. Those big glass marbles. LOL Thanks for making me remember.

Will an Altoids or similar tin fit in the large pouch where the sharpening stone is? The handle would be vastly improved with some tennis racket grip tape. For the price, looks like a good candidate for mods.

What the? That thing's crazy! Monster Nessmuk ahoy!

For the price, looks like a good candidate for mods.
Agreed- that handle looks more than slightly sketchy. Some micarta slabs would do nicely, with a spacer to complete the tang.

But for $15 one really cant complain. :D Agreed though...I'll say waht someone else said in a different thread..itll be the next CS Trailhawk...mods wise...Congrats on the purchase!

This one will have a Black Micarta handle very soon, the handle is pretty cheesy, It would work with some wrap of some kind either leather or grip tape.

I was almost scared to open this thread!

Great lookin blade man!

Thats a damn fine rack Rick!!:thumbup:
