I have had these for several years and back in the day if I liked something I would buy several...That is obvious from the pictures:p...Of course I used to buy and sale part time back then also. It's been several years and I am looking to get back to the woods on my place on a Little River called the Chaplin and do some camping and craft. My question is? I have several knives I have used and was wondering if anyone ever had much experience with these larger MORAS?Their durability? I have't noticed anyone using these in their posts? I am sure they will hold and edge if they are anything like the other MORAS? I haven't had a chance to take one out and try it due to the fact that I literally have had soooo many hundreds of knives over the years and not the time to use them all. These were in storage and I figured if they were too long and thin for camp purposes? Not sure of the MODEL on these but they are definitely MORAS . I guess for the few dollars I paid for them it won't hurt to take one out and put her to work;)? Any input is appreciated.

All I know is that I want a review.

I have looked at those several times online and wondered why we havent heard more about them.

I think it is time for you to go out and give it the works and come back and tell us what you think. :D

I had one of those. For me, it was kind of a niche knife. It wasn't big enough or heavy enough to be a machete, but for light grass, nothing could beat it. That's the only use I could find for it. It is probably a great camp kitchen knife. It could also get incredibly sharp.

I lost mine. I probably won't buy another.

I believe those are made to cut isolation material (mineral wool).

1234,,,,,,

Pitdog has one also. He seemed pleased with his for making fuzzies.

I wonder how well they baton...Only one way to find out, I guess! :D

I found an old MORA catalog I had and 1234 is correct to a degree on them being used for a Utility material cutting knife, but they were also sold with a top quality leather sheath as a Hunting Knife. Interesting dual purpose? Well, anyway I have a camping trip planned on the 25th and well be sure to take one of these and the camera along. I'm also interested to see how it might baton? The blade is wide and thin, so I guess I will find out first hand. Thanks to everyone for their input so far:)

+1 one to that. Get on out there and put a whoopin' on those puppies, and let us know what happens!

They might be great for butchering large game- with nice, thin blades that are crazy sharp, but I doubt they'll be much use in chopping. They'll probably work great for batoning, so long as you take care not to stress the handle too much- the tang is probably not very long on those. If you push down on the handle while batoning, you will snap those bad boys for sure. Hold the handle loosely while batoning, thinking of the knife as a wedge, and those should work just fine.

Cool knives!
