The thread is closed now. Thank you to everyone who agreed to help.
I need some help from you guys.
Another batch of wood just arrived from K&G. Plus there is more on the way. Some of this has been spoken for but over the last couple months I have just been sending them everything that looks really good. Yesterday my boss had a little talk with me about my spending. The cost for stabilizing starts to add up once you get into the hundreds of pounds. I'm not complaining. I just hadn't been paying attention to just how much wood I'd been sending them.
This is some of the wood that showed up today. Fiddleback Koa, Amboyna Burl, Walnut Crotch and Burl, Ziricote, Sycamore , Fiddleback Eucalyptus, Maple Burl and some other stuff.
I will spend the day today cleaning these and have a big sale tomorrow.
Anyone who will commit to looking at them when I post them tomorrow can have an additional 10% discount off of any you decide to get. Just make a post here in this thread that you'll check them out so I know who get's the discount. I will close the thread in the morning.
I am doing this to cover my backside in case my boss says anything to me. This way I can say "Yeah it's a lot but I have 30 knifemakers waiting for me to get these listed".
The pieces will all be at reduced sale prices and will be the Best of the Best.
Thanks everyone, Mark
I cleaned these up first because they have already been spoken for by Ricsha, Nick Wheeler and John White.
Please excuse the bad photo. The flashed washed out the color and half the figure.
This is as far as I could get before I ran out of energy.
It is a worse than normal photo because it is outside on my workshop porch and 7:30 at night. This photo is just to give an idea what will be in the sale. They are all stacked up now waiting for me to measure, price and re-photograph them in the morning. They should be posted for sale about noon, PST.
