Big Sky Conference

Flying in Thursday night.

Be at Josh's place sometime Friday morning.

Really looking forward to this weekend!

I am going to leave Seattle about 4am friday I am going to try and get some fishing in on the way up. I will have my friend Nate with me and I look forward to seeing all my old friend's. If I learn half of what I did last year it will be well worth the drive.

What hammer in? Isn't that next weekend? :)

I can't wait. Oh and Nick, I will spend the night sharpening the edges of the jaws on my vise.

Hans and Steve. The nice thing is that the bears will eat the loser the same night so you won't even spoil. And there will be nothing left for the authorities to find!

I thought I would post a schedule of events for the weekend for all to see.

Friday is an invitation only day before 5:00 p.m. for a few makers and the collectors involved in the Friday evening show. Friday evening is a private show at an art gallery in Missoula featuring makers H.H. Frank, Larry Fuegen, Don Fogg, Rick Eaton, Scott Sawby, Harvey Dean, John Young, Owen Wood, and myself. We have an outstanding turn out of knife collectors.

We will miss those of you that can not attend this year.

I wish I could too. Sounds like a great time.

That sounds like an awesome time! And I bet it's not 100 plus degrees up there --- wish I could hop up there and enjoy the fun...

The rest of us will look forward to the pics and reports next week.

You can be sure that when Steven attends a show there will be an outstanding review to soon follow.

Josh, which of our photographers are attending this year?

Sounds like a good time. Y'all watch out for STeven!

I'll be at the Branson Hammer-in and knife show Saturday with 98f temp and high humidity!:confused:

Eric Eggly and his son Cam will be there shooting mainly knives and I'll be there with my wife Laura, shooting mainly the event, the people and the goings on. I'm also covering the event for the ABS Journal. Laura and I will arrive a little before noon on Friday.
I might bring a couple of special blades from my collection to share informally with folks. I hope some other collectors will do likewise. Not to detract from or compete with the well-planned events of the weekend - rather just to share and... well, blabber on and on about knives and such with likewise afflicted souls.

Fantastic idea Buddy. I look forward to seeing them.

Harvey Dean and I sat out in the shop tonight until about midnight smoking cigars. Life is good!

Well my ride to Montana had a family tragedy and won't be able to go now. They have become an icon of events like this, and will be sorely missed at Josh's! :(

I've gotta come up with a new plan for getting there now, but I'll ride my bike and sleep in Josh's yard if I have to. :)
