Its definitely fun to mix up the blade shapes a bit, slight changes make drastic differences in handling, and each has its ups/downs. When I finally get around to making myself a carry Bowie for this fall/winter it will be somewhere between the 2 designs.... a low tip with a slight bit of belly, more like the Bagwell, JM Smith Bowies. To me those shapes are the best of both Worlds.
