Steel: Mild
OAL: 24"
Head length: 4"
Handle: White oak
Weight: 1 pound 10 ounces

This is the simplest, but biggest one yet.

The head has been cold blued, epoxied and pinned to the handle with two 3/16" bronze pins. The pins were left long so even though they are peened they are not flush, forming exposed studs. The handle has been sanded and treated with two coats of teak oil. There is a 1/4" thong hole pre-drilled at the base of the handle.

$65 ****SOLD****

I like your thunder sticks Todd.
I made one quite a few years ago out of a broken broom handle with a length of copper pipe.
Not nearly as nice or elaborate as yours.I love the etching on the small one & the studs on the big one.
Very nice work on 'em.

I like the one I bought and this one looks quite nice as well... have you thought about adding studs/spikes to the sides below the band to prevent opponents from grabbing the stick? I'm thinking of running that idea by a knifemaker near me as an add-on to the one I own.

Thanks, Mykel. I just needed a break from blades - I had no idea they'd be this popular.

Thanks, glad you like yours! I have thought about that and I will be offering it. There is plenty of steel to drill and tap some threads - then the spikes can be fabricated and simply screwed in. Anyone local with a basic metal shop should be able to get it done for you.

A modern mace. There is a reason maces were popular in the middle ages, they worked. Nice piece, I like it.

Thanks, Allen. I hear ya on the mace; inexpensive, simple, effective. I've got some more mace-like and morning star-like models planned with flanges, studs, and spikes.

Queue me up as next in line for this one please, should the transaction with the previous buyer fall apart.

Heck, queue me up in line for the next one of these you make of a similar size!

Thanks.
