Don't buy chinese knives! That's bad for your soul. Here's a pic to show the dimensions of the Schrade:

These are available on eBay and much more satisfying to own than a rough rider.

Bad for the soul huh?? No satisfaction with Rough Rider ownership??

Just had to put your theory to the test so I just now ordered these.

I'll post pictures of the ones I get when I get them.

Here is a photo of the discontinued Buck Model 307 "large stockman". Discontinued but still seen on a auction site. As a quick guide - They all had the same steel, 440a. Oldest one says Made In U.S.A. on tang, One with BUCK shield does NOT follow in the steps of the other BUCK shield 300s made with 425m steel, it is 440a also, One with Yellow Delrin scale was sold only by SMKWs. None were ever made in the Buck factory, all are Camillus contracted. Yes, you may have gotten a Buck box and paperwork, but they were boxed in multiples by Cami and sent to Buck, and re-boxed individually by Buck.

You mean the handle scale? My father-in-law found this knife on his lawn and it was trashed.
It looked like this:

I sent it in to Buck and they rebladed it and buffed it out but there was still a big chip missing so I just sanded it out.
