So I've recently purchase quite a few Benchmades. Some new & some pre-owned. I have made this particular purchase of a mini grip 556 when seller did not describe the truth of actual conditions. When I got it it was horrible condition. Along with my 707 I send to BM life sharp (I was expecting to pay).

2 weeks later I receive the blades back with a packing list noting the mini grip has a loose pivot screw which they replaced free, they also replace the thumb studs because thumb stud was damaged from a drop. Sharpen the blade back to factory. My 707 they said that the blade was touching the spacers when fully closed, so they work their magic there also....sharpen the blade...place both blade separately in a benchmade gray box and ship them back to me.

ALL THAT for $0.00, I only paid shipping cost to them.

BENCHMADE rock!!!

If you never tried Benchmade & their service.....they are absolutely amazing. If you mess up sharpening your blade, send it to them.....

Nice to hear the good and not the bad side of a knife mfg. Benchmade makes some fine knives and their services is up there with others. Glad you had a good experience.

Didn't you have to include $5.00 for return postage & handling as part of their Eversharp service? I think this is worth it, but just curious how you didn't have to pay it.

LifeSharp Service
There's never a dull moment with a Benchmade... That's right! We will gladly re-sharpen your Benchmade knife to a factory razor sharp edge (service does not apply to any serrated portion of the blade). If you prefer us to sharpen your blade, or if you may have neglected to maintain your edge for a while, simply ship your knife to us. We'll not only sharpen it, but we will also inspect the knife for any warranted repairs and "tune" the knife for optimum performance. Simply ship the knife to the Benchmade address, postage paid and insured. Please enclose your return shipping address with $5.00 for first knife and $2.50 for each additional knife, to cover handling and return shipping charges.

I sent my Bone Collector Mini Axis off for sharpening two or three weeks ago. It was in the mail when I got home Wednesday night. I was expecting a basic sharpening, but Benchmade gave it a good going over. It too needed a new pivot screw and got a good cleaing and lubrication. I did send $5.00 with the knife, but the service I received and the edge on the knife are worth much more than I paid.

Thanks for great knives and service!
