Hi everyone.

I just responded to the "How you stumbled upon Fiddleback Forge" thread, and it got me thinking about all the different Fiddlebacks that I've bought and sold over the years. Some Fiddlebacks I haven't regretted letting go (changing needs/interest), but others still haunt me to this day! I thought it might be fun to start a "my biggest regrets" thread and see what Fiddlebacks still haunt people.

My biggest regret: A 2011, burlap woodpecker.

What a ___________ (insert any number of derogatory words), I am for selling it!

Oh man velosa, that Woodpecker would haunt me too!

My biggest regret is selling my original hunter. A guy down under got it and loved it. That was a few years ago. I've tired emailing him about it but no answer.......

Selling my first Hunter years ago. It was the knife that got me into Fiddlebacks. Andy was just starting out. I got wooed by his newer work and I sold it for the new models. I was easy back then. :o:D

No Schmittie. It was a red colored wood (I can't remember it) over blackwood. It had the early lanyard tube. It was heavily used and I would kill to have it back.

I hear ya. I still regret never picking up one of those earlier models. The look of the wood over wood combo was really unique.

Hmm, that may not be the right one then. But it's neat going through the old photos. :)

I think my biggest regret is not buying the convex bolsterd black palm or bolstered white linen Hiking Buddy at the same time I bought the box elder scandi. I actually had the money in my pocket, but knew nothing at all about black palm, and was scared of white linen with my habit of getting really dirty hands in the woods...and I was so sick I didn't trust my own judgement. Thus I chose error on the side of caution. I have regretted that since.

My biggest regret is not buying more before the waters became so shark infested!! Ha

Lol, I think a few of us mat share that one, but bank robbery just didn't appeal to me...I'm getting too old for stuff like that :)

I just remembered one that might trump my original. It was a Lacewood Hiking Buddy with orange liners. It was gorgeous and haunts me often...

Yes! :)

There have been plenty of knives I wish I had bought when I had the chance.

Biggest regret so far is selling the scandi Bushfinger a couple weeks ago. Had to be done, but I still regret it.
