Biggest Knife, Smallest Knife

Biggest for me is the Kershaw Outcast (about an inch longer than the BK9) and smallest is either the Schrade/Old Timer 30T or the Boker Subcom Titan.

Nice guys. Thanks for the photos. BTW, that little knife in my OP will shave the hair off your arm. I've had that for about 27 years now.

Smallest is my Becker Remora, which ya'll know :P Wait, do multi-tools count?

Some wicked looking blades there Qeth. A little off topic, but what is the notch on the Chiruwa Ang Khola for? I have noticed this on other kukri's as well.

Thanks, Warrior. I really dig them too. My plan is to have a tool/ knife from as many cultures as possible, but I think I got hung up on Nepal's (kuks), China's (culturally, the dao and jian), and Japan (cuz I'm a ninja! wataaah!)

Around the forums, the notch is called a cho. From wikipedia:

"Kukri blades usually have a notch (kauda, kaudi, kaura, or cho) at the base of the blade. Various reasons are given for this, both practical and ceremonial: that it makes blood and sap drop off the blade rather than running onto the handle; that it delineates the end of the blade whilst sharpening; that it is a symbol representing a cow foot, or Shiva (Brigade of Gurkhas)."

It's a big old honker. See bottom knife.
Sorry, I screwed up the name. It's a Sgt. Khadka (not Karda) Bonecutter.
There are different lengths and weights. Some are freakin' huge.
I'd have to go back and search the HI forum to remember what mine is.
Khadka is one of the more respected makers in the HI line.
He made both of the knives shown below.

Hell yes, good stuff Bladite. What about the smallest?

Here's a few photos of the Frost mini I posted earlier. Shows how small this knife really is. Razor sharp to boot:

small SAKS and kershaw toucan and BK13 and super tiny (old) gerber folder and sometimes just xacto blades.

i'm not really in much for small blades :)

Maybe it is a Samsher? Believe me, I'll take your word over my memory.
I admit I stink when it comes to the HI line, and I bought those quite a while back.
Rarely, if ever, do I hit the HI forums these days. In fact, I probably own those two knives shown because of your emails from that time frame.
Which is bigger... the Samsher or the Bonecutter? Or does it just depend on the individual knife?

Hey, speaking of HI and large/small, what is this little booger?
It came from somewhere, but I recall not where, and it now resides in my desk drawer and functions as a letter opener.

Wow, that's freakin awesome Guyon. I will have a kukri one of these days. Probably more modern than traditional.

Now that I found my Opinel no.6 , here it is with my largest , a Zwilling 8" chef's knife .
(You can see these 2 are very used ...)
