I recently on Dec 22nd was contacted by Sam inquiring about a trade for my EK. He was aware of the condition of the knife and pics were included ( see my trade post ) the knife was in great condition with only some minor scratching from a sharpening.
He offered as a trade an Entrek Merc

and said I would ship out to him on the 23rd. I did mail out on the 23rd and on the 24th I emailed him a tracking number.

Sam,
Merry Christmas to you and yours! I mailed out your knife on the 24th at 9:30 in the morning. Your tracking number is as follows. ****************

After the 22nd though I never heard from Sam again. I realized it was the holidays but he was the one who contacted me about a trade so I expected at least some communication on his part.
On the 29th I did email him as I had heard nothing from him yet knew my knife had arrived.

Sam,
Just inquiring as to the shipping of the Entrek knife. I have not recieved any word from you as to when you shipped out which left me to assume it was Monday? USPS tracking shows the EK I shipped out arrived at your address on the 27th.
Chris

Yesterday was the 31st and I still had not recieved any communication from Sam since his original contacting of me on the 22nd. However I did receive a package from the USPS sent out by Sam. I was glad to receive the package but still aggravated about the lack of communication on his part:grumpy:. So I open my package to see my Ek and a small note from Sam on a post it saying after inspection he felt he could no longer trade, but and here's the kicker HE NEVER EVEN OPENED MY KNIFE:confused:!
I wrapped my knife and packaged it so I know it was never opened. So Sam gets a :thumbdn: for lack of communication non shipping when he promised and then not even inspecting the knife.
I have done several trades here and I understand having an inspection period but the knife was never inspected just returned with a lousy excuse after no communication on his part at all.
Thank you Sam for wasting my time and money and putting me through the worry. In the future it would be to communicate with your other party. You could have at least let me know you were shipping the knife back:mad:.

i think maybe it returned to you because Sam wasnt there.

if no one claims the package after a certain days it goes back to you.

Did you even read the entire Original Post? Sam wrote a note, So it goes that he was there. Sorry way to do someone when a trade is made. No communication and a returned knife. Bright side indeed, he got his knife back, but he is still out postage and time and still does not have what he wanted.

oh, my bad. ;)

Bad form on his part.

I would add one thing - Putting the physical address of his family and whole name out of the forums is probably a bit over the top too.

Right. If somebody swindles a member we have to post all the information we can find on him to protect the rest of us, but this wasn't a swindle.
