Bikers should carry, if bike in mountain. That's based on the experience in pacific northwest. one or two years ago, two bikers were attacked by a mountain lion and sadly one of them couldn't make through... If they were carrying knives and had a good fight, they may scare away that monster. They did try to fight the cougar with their bike.

Ducati is a beautiful machine.
I have no idea what's going on here at all
Im lost but nice tuff-lite Chico
And yet you feel obligated to buy the same kind of knife that every other biker carries? I knew "bikers" were faddish people, but I didn't know it was so strong a trend. You should try ordering a totally different kind of knife, and then you'd have something....actually different.Yeah, once I saw that the red knife existed I ordered two. I have this run of bad luck--when I see something that is new, different or fills a need I have, I have to move quickly!
Then again, I like oddball stuff, so don't look for any world shaking trends.

At least that's what I assume when you have the rest of your club shouting "nice Tuff-Lite" at you. Apparently they are well used to that type of blade.
Just don't forget to take it out of your pocket when you put your "outlaw rebel" costume aside and go back to the office on Monday. They might not understand that's it's "a biker thing".
Seriously.This thread keeps getting stranger...
I'm lost, too, but I have a theory--it goes back about 12 years. Now, in Wisconsin you can kill somebody, do four years of hard time, four years of tight supervision and your debt is paid.
This concept is foreign to hobbyist forums. Anyone can contrive a new forum handle, and dig up correspondence that no one remembers.
Ergo, it is my belief that 12 years ago I stepped on someone's ego responding to a forum exchange. The guy never forgot it, although I do not even remember such an incident. So let's clear the air...
"Dear Mr. From-My-Past, clearly I have offended you many years ago. I am sorry. If you'll remember, many of those innocent exchanges did get heated. However, I never really hated anyone, in fact, I still correspond with guys from that era. Please accept this apology. I have turned 70 years of age, and I do not wish anger or contempt on anyone, even my old enemies. Let's try a new beginning!--The Tourist.
Well, you were banned here years ago, I'm betting for good reason and I'm betting you know why. If you are allowed to stay (banned members are rarely allowed to return) try to "remember" what you previously did as not to repeat. Review the rules. Keep a low profile and enjoy reading the forum.Thank you, rxavage. I'm 70 years old now, and guys that age just want to have fun in a forum! Our debating days are long over!
I've always thought about getting a tuff lite. It gets great reviews and looks like a fine working knife. Something else always comes up. Perhaps some day.
LOL, well, I learned at a young age that you never ask a man why he was in 'stir.' Trust me, I made a lot of mistakes joining the "company of men."
As for the 'tuff-lite,' when I first got it I was a bit baffled by all the praise. You have to roll it in your hand to understand the knife. The knife is simply 'over-built.'
The blade blank is thick, thicker than some survival knives. This three-inch handle is secured with four stout pins. The lock is sturdy, with a divot deep enough so the blade cannot be easily displaced. The edge is very uniform for a factory sharpening, and it even has a choil for when you polish your own edge. The hole used for opening the knife is a generous oval, and you can find it for opening in the dark.
I have two dozen knives. For some reason I cannot put this little knife down.
