This great general purpose knife has never carried, but has been used lightly in the kitchen and around the yard. There are a few thin scratches about the edge, but are tough to see unless in the right light. A slight patina has started on the blade. I would rate the knife at 93%+. This knife really cuts well, and I will replace it with another Buxton of a slightly different design.
52100 steel blade, I believed forged from a round bar, hand rubbed finish with a nice hamon. Triple quenched and triple tempered. The blade is convex ground to a very sharp working edge. The blade tang is about 3/16, but the blade has a full distal taper to a keen point.
Full tang construction . Ivory micarta scales with black vulcanized spacer material between scales and tang. 8 nickel/silver pins. Knife comes with hand sewn 8-9 oz. leather pouch sheath, right hand carry.
