This big knife was made by Bill Buxton before he got his Mastersmith or Journeyman stamp. The scales are African Blackwood.
I think the steel is 52100. There is a visible hamon.
Blade is about 10.5" and overall 16".
Looks like a hair under 1/4" at the thickest with distal taper.
I don't know the weight but this is ground very thin and it's quite light for its size.
It is used and has some fine scratches from high grit sandpaper.
A couple inches from the tip are a couple small dents or waves in the edge. Can't capture on camera but they are visible in some light and can be felt with fingers. I believe these occurred while chopping some wood. The knife is probably ground a little too thin for very heavy chopping. Let me tell you - it bites deep!
Considering the age and used condition, I'm only looking for SOLD shipped to you in US (only). Paypal is preferred.
