My third knife from Bill arrived today, and I thought it would be a good idea to share my experiences of dealing with Bill with everyone.

Bill is a great person to deal with, because he takes as much pride in how he treats customers as he does in how he makes knives. He listens to what a customer wants, and uses his experience to ensure that they get the best knife possible.

I have been using knives made by Bill in the field (and around the farm) for most of this year, and they represent an excellent synthesis of form, function, fit, and finish.

Like most knife nuts, I don’t need any more knives, but I can see more knives from Bill in my future.
 
I'll second that!! Bill is one of the best. His bladesmithing with 52100 steel is really something special. :thumbup: :thumbup:
 
Oops, I forgot to mention that all three of my knives are 52100, and that they take and hold a superb edge.
 
WOW, Thank you David for the nice words. Its customers like you and Ford that makes this profession so rewarding.:thumbup: I've really enjoyed our e-mail exchanges concerning the knives and hearing about those spider,snakes and dogs. Even though hearing about those spiders and snakes still has my skin crawling. Be careful out there.

As an old farmer once said to me: “never mind the snakes and spiders, just watch out for the women who distract you from noticing the snakes and spiders.”

Well, I have had three days of using my new hunter around the kitchen and farm, and I couldn’t be happier.

And now the big question: what knife to get Bill to make me next year?

I too am fortunate enough to have conducted business with Bill. What a pleasure it is working with an honest and talented man who is a true believer in a deal is not a deal until the buyer is happy.

Of course with his talents who could not be happpy? The knife he made me cut and cut and cut and then cut even more!!!!

Yup, Bill is a good guy...............
