Hello,
I have a Custom Schrade by Knife maker Bill King...polished inside and out...Locks up Tight, blade sets Dead CENTER
and blade has no wiggle whatsoever in the closed position...
It's signed... Bill King 6-89 .... It comes with another U.S.A. Schrade
LB-7(used), very solid knife, would make a real nice user, but I would
just keep them together like they have been for almost 15yrs. by me...

Bill King did a total makeover on this Uncle Henry Schrade LB-7 U.S.A....
He reprofiled the front bolsters and handle to make it more sleek,
redesigned scales and added Ivory..everything is flush and smooth.

Is the handle material elephant ivory ? In the picture it looks more like ivory Micarta.

I back up Roland on this one, to the seller... please be fair and describe your knife more accurately, Ivory does NOT have this type of "grain"

The Bill King was sold to me as Ivory... I have owned it for
approx. 12 to 14 yrs.... It passes the hot pin test so I don't
think it is micarta.... I still believe it to be Ivory but I could be
very wrong... I'll do some research and see what I find out....
I think Bill King is still around somewhere...

Hi Vernon, as you can see it has an Oval grain..or a pattern that looks like a oval. this is produced as the handle reaches its peak( thicker-side on) in the middle, then slopes down to the lower sides...thus creating a "line" where it breaks through to a lower level of the Micarta.
Elephant Ivory has a natural grain, way different worlds to your Mircata, this may have been described as "Ivory " to describe the actual colour of the Micarta, but it isn't natural ( real ) Ivory.
