The classic bladesmithing of Bill Moran and the evolutionary high-tech matter separation approach of Spyderco has brought us the FB01 Bill Moran Featherweight.

Now we are hearing about the Moran Drop Point? Cool it shall be. And just think, we have already went quite away learning where to get Kydex for it.

In an older thread, Sal mentions the Moran fighter design that fits his Y2K survivalist role.....

I took that Moran out last night for a hike in the pouring rain and used it at the beach to whittle away the wet exterior of camp logs....I am so impressed with this knife and the usefulness of it. That VG-10 stays so sharp for so long & resharpening is a breeze.

Take a Moran, add one of those Edgeworks Allman brothers kydex sheath systems and for under $100 you have an incredible knife combo.

I'm taking a bush plane next week to camp off this deserted lake with the kids and that Moran is coming (along w/Corduroy's drop point

Soemtimes I get dizzy waiting for Spyderco to come out with their new knives.

Eye (and you too Greg),

I did my share of lobbying Sal during my recent visit to expand Spyderco's line of fixed blades. We'll just have to wait and see what happens but if I were a wagering man......

Put the new sticker on the "beast" (our '76 Cherokee Chief) between the supply squadron sticker you sent me before, and my NRA sticker. Now people will REALLY get out of the way when we're tooling down the road.
