Bill had been fighting the complications of colon cancer for over a year now, and it got the best of him in the end. He was hospitalized two weeks ago, and passed on at Frederick Memorial Hospital this morning. In his final days Bill's room was filled with all his friends and supporters.

What sad news. I was privileged to finally meet him at last year's Blade and, to me, what was most noticeable about him was his humility. Another legend passes on. RIP, Mr. Moran.

I had the honor of meeting Bill a number of times. He remembered me each time we got back in touch. Bill was a humble man who greatly influenced the world of knives. He was ever helpful and and aways had an encouraging word. He will be missed by everyone who he came in contact.

Rest well Bill.

Pam

He will be missed, but never forgotten by the knifeworld, and doubtless his family. Innovative and inspirational, he leaves leaves behind a magnificent legacy.
