Bill Ruple News Article

Well, I don't think I'd win a contest for bragging rights with a certain person I know who was from the Buffalo area and resides somewhere way north.
I don't know about that, E, but you have much more "Cartel" representation!!

Well, I did work many cases on those miscreants for a lot of years. Oh, you mean the slipjoint makers... 🤣

By the way, Tina sends her regards.

Bill Ruple’s hometown newspaper ran an article, which might be of interest here.

One of the interesting items in the article is Bill said he cannot afford to carry one of his own knives, so he carries a Case.

I can believe it. It might only take him some time and not much material cost to make himself a knife, but ultimately that’s a pretty good chunk of change that’s riding in his pocket getting scratched up by car keys, and not going into the bank account. As someone who formerly made my living as a craftsman, it’s hard to find the hours for your own piece when you work on everyone else’s all day. A case is 99% as good for practical purposes of cutting stuff and it’s not like he needs bragging rights ;)

Charlie, who's idea was the double Wharncliffe swayback? I've never seen anything like it!
