This is the knife you wish Becker would put out. For those who like the size and shape of the Becker handles, this is a gem of a knife. It's like a Becker BK-7 on steroids with enough heft to actually chop.
Bill took some Becker scales and fitted them to a high-carbon drop point camp knife blade. The knife is slightly nose-heavy, balancing 3/8" in front of the handle. The swedged drop point tip design, nice sharp Siegle edge, and balance set this one up as a great do-it-all camp knife.
The most obvious flaw is that the sheath has a kind of ripple on the back just below the Tek-Lok and on the front of the sheath is a scratch/track at the same height. The front scratch looks almost like a hot soldering iron had traced across the surface of the sheath, leaving a sharply defined furrow in its wake (seen in first picture below). There are also some scratches on the right side of the blade. The second picture below shows them. If you intend to use this one, they will soon disappear among the other freshly applied scratches.
