is more than I could ever expect. Thinking about the knives I have in my possession, I think the combat bowie I got from Averageguy is my first true "custom". I traded a big bowie and got another in return. Not a gold member yet, I cannot post pictures, but this thing is huge and the blade is scarry sharp.

The man does impressive work. I have been looking at his work on the makers forum and am glad I jumped on the trade offer. I rarely see his knives up in the trade forum, and now I know why.

Bill, if you read this, kudos on the carftsmanship, and if you can, can you email me with the specs like what steel was used?

Is your Bill Siegle Bowie anything like mine?:

It has an 11 inch-long blade of 1/4 inch thick 5160 steel, black scored G-10 scales, and a nice brass hand-guard (that doesn't get in the way). The grinds on mine are perfect, and the blade is razor-sharp.

Bill has made a couple of knives for me and delivered then on eactly the day he committed to deliver them. He is a great guy to work with, and he makes a first rate knife at bargan prices. If you are into fixed blades then this is one maker to keep an eye on.

cerberus,

Dang, that IS a nice Siegle Combat Bowie. I've tried 3 different ways to post the picture, but it just won't go :(, but at least you, I, and Bill know what it looks like.:).

...And I have a trio of REKAT folders I'd trade for that knife if you ever grow tired of it.:D.

Glockmann,
I'm glad you like that knife. Is my parkerizing work holding up under use OK. If it ever gets too bad, send it back my way and I'll toss it in the tank again.
That is a fantastic bowie. Just a bit larger than what I could practically use in the field.
