Today I looked in my drawer that I keep my Khukuris in. One item stands out, as just not to my taste. It is an engraved ( Both sides ) deer horn, 12" khukuri. I know Bill has a trade in policy, but I usually never return a knife unless it is damaged.I called Bill, and asked what we could do.He asked me what I wanted to do ! So I traded for an 18th Century, and a 20" sirapati. Where on gods good earth, could you receive this type of service ? I really like khukuris, but would probably buy any other blade Bill was selling if he said the quality was good.I think he also sold me another knife while we were on the phone, How did that happen ? )

The civilized man sleeps behind locked doors in the city while the naked savage sleeps (with a knife) in a open hut in the jungle.

I bought one for my mother awhile ago. For those curious I think this is Floyds and mine is similar :

The big problem now is that I have to find a gift that is its equal for christmas.

Some of those handles look like ivory and it is a great temptation for those officials who think that it is.

A knife like this which I sent to Mohd vanished without a trace. I think whoever took it thought the handle was ivory.

And, yes that it similar to what Floyd had but I think the left side was engraved with the Tashi Dili motif.

Interesting.
I printed this one out on two pieces of paper and then aligned them up nicely. It comes out to a 9" beautifully proportioned Khukuri.I know the original is 12",but this gives me an idea of what the 9" one would be like. These are absolutely gorgeous stunning knives!

If someone was going to hurt me with one like this I would ask them nicely to see it and then gladly hand it back to them.Just so I would know the other thing I was fighting the person For.(vbeg)
