I ordered several products from an online retailer using a Mastercard on November 26th.

I received half the merchandise within several days and was told the remainder was on backorder and would be shipped immediately when they received it from their warehouse.

Long story short, it's December 19th and I have yet to receive said products.

The kicker is...I WAS BILLED FOR THE ENTIRE ORDER.(illegal)

Now these a$$holes aren't answering their phone or email.

So, how much $hit can I heap upon them?

I've already sent an email informing them they need to step up to the plate or I will persue every course of action I can take with a swiftness that will make heads spin.

I'm giving them one last chance to make it right before I divulge their name on every forum I can think of. I plan to notify Mastercard of their business practices even if I do receive my merchandise, but are there any other things I can do to make these people sorry they decided to screw with me?

In the meantime, it looks like several friends and family members will not be getting the cool presents I had picked out for them.:(

You are taking the high road by not having their name onboard here already.

Let us know who they are when you are ready, and that should be enough. Having a whole bunch of forumites know about them will hurt!

Maybe email them a link to this forum...:)

I am still dealing with trying to rectify having been ripped off by one Matt Klein dba outdoorsuperstore. Its been since 7/10/03. He did get a letter from the US Postal Service. We'll see.

Best of luck to you.

J.

High road? I would prefer to know who he was dealing with, so I don't experience the same problem :(

I got to agree with TBG on this one. Their using the float on your money.
Tomorrow it may be my money :(

Hi Rhesus,

Simple solution.

Contact your credit card company and dispute the charge.

The credit card company will do whats called a "charge back". In that the remove the money from the account of the company you bought the merchandise from.

At which point, upon notification of the charge back, they have about two weeks to respond.

This response will have to be where they show where they shipped the items you ordered and that you received them.

If they cannot do this, the money is credited to your charge card.

At that point you can let the company know they have 24hours to "fill or kill" the order.

Some credit cards will let you do this over the phone. Some require it in writitng. If you send in a letter, be sure to send the letter certified. As generally you only have 45-60 days to contest a charge. The clock stops ticking when the CC Company signs for that certified letter.

Hope this helps.

Les sumed it up :-) send a "registered" letter with your request as well, usually shows you are tracking the transaction and mean business.
Loandr.

Don't even think about dealing with them.

They seized every oppurtunity to screw things up from day one and I still haven't received the last pen they promised would "ship tomorrow".(doesn't matter anymore, M.C. will handle it from here) They did overnight a package at their expense, on Christmas Eve, because I threatened them repeatedly for 3 days via email, fax, and telephone calls. Pretty impressive, huh.

The worst thing about the whole situation: the owner, Jim Jobin, told me he would handle the situation personally. After not hearing anything for several days, I called back for the 20th time to see if he had shipped my stuff.......and they told me he was on vacation! This a$$hole blew me off after billing me in full!!!(he left the day after he billed my card too, the mother****er)

I'm sure his family had a nice holiday vacation while I was sitting here December 23rd figuring out how the hell I'm going to make $275 appear out of thin air so that I can buy presents to replace what he personally promised would be here well before Christmas.

Jim Jobin has *NO* integrity whatsoever and he should thank Linda and Ernestine for taking it upon themselves to fill the order at the *LAST* minute.

I have also dealt with the writers edge over two years ago, it was the first time and the last time. I too had a VERY long wait and then my order was wrong. All was made right in the end, but it was too little too late. I had thought maybe it was a one time deal but i guess not. Hope everything turns out for you. Good Luck and keep us posted

Recently there was a thread in G&G regarding The Writer's Edge, time for a BTTT.

DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THESE PEOPLE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I saw The Writer's Edge mentioned in Gadgets & Gear again, time for a BTTT.

Jim Jobin is a phuctard, and I hold grudges. :p

As well you should in this kind of case. This guy doesn't take his business seriously enough IMO. You might save other people the grief you experienced. THX!!!
