Anyone have a line on free shareware billing software for knifemaking and repairs?

Nor free, but I bought the download version of Quickbooks pro from Amazon. I really like Quickbooks and it makes professional looking invoices for my business (not knife-making). The download version is $99 and tax deductible.

I've been trying it out for a little bit now, it's not perfect, there are features I don't like and things I'd change, but it works pretty well. You can generate invoices, match up payments to invoices, assign expenses to various categories... If all you want to do is setup to send invoices and keep track of when they are paid I think it would work very well, at no cost to you. It will let you print, email or just create an invoice, which is a nice touch for accounting software. I like to generate an invoice for every sale just for record keeping. It's nice to be able to just generate it and then note that it's paid or match up the incoming money from elsewhere.

I've been using QB free for my blacksmithing business, found that you run up against the 20 customer limit real fast. Only a matter of time until I upgrade- like any program they have their funny way of doing things, and customer support is said to be....problematic.
Easy to use, though, working for me.

I hate specialized software so if I were you, I would create the same thing as Quickbooks basically does using a database program like Microsoft Access.
