This is strictly my fault, habits are hard to break, but I'm curious about other's experiences with BillPoint, cuz so far mine ain't good. I've been selling and buying on E-Bay for a number of years now. At one time I registered with BillPoint and started putting them as a payment option on my E-Bay auctions. No one has ever used it, usually paying with either a MO or PayPal. Well unfortunately yesterday someone did use it. When I found out (not by e-mail notification since my e-mail has changed since I signed up) I immediately tried signing into BillPoint. I had saved my last e-mail from BillPoint giving me my account name and password. It didn't work. Thinking I had changed it after receiving their password I tried the 4 standard passwords that I always use. They didn't work. I then followed their links for a "lost password." They recognized my username, then they asked my password hint, which was definitely one I set up, THEN they asked for the last credit card I used. No problem, their records showed a MasterCard which I've only had 2 of. First number didn't work, then when I tried the second number that didn't work. They're the only two I've ever had! I immediately sent an e-mail to their tech support, still haven't had a response. Now it is a weekend so I'm not too upset...yet. What I would like to know is if anyone else has had a problem with BillPoint and if so how did they resolve it. By the way, since "MY E-Bay" page did show that the individual had payed I went ahead and sent the knife, but I still can't access the money!
