Bill's scam

If HI is a Scam I want in on it too!

When Bura got sick and wasn't able to work he and his family were cared for by HI and he got great medical care. Now he has his job back and is doing great. If it wasn't for HI's Medical fund Bura wouldn't be here with us today making some really awesome knives! Like I said earlier, if thats a Scam, I want in on it. Every year sending Clothes and supplies to Nepal for the workers and their familys..... Good stuff and Thanks!

Heber

Not to mention starting the support of Ram's education to become a Doctor.

This is a most excellent Scam!

I may be mistaken, but didn't this Slamfire person post in the HI forum about steel types?

Yeah, he made some very cynical yet not at all over the line remarks that just rubbed me the wrong way. I didn't want to say anything, because I might have just been having a bad day. My Spidie Sense was tingling a bit.

At any rate, it's over and done with. He dug a hole, was called out on it, and instead of asking for a hand up and out he dug it even deeper until he buried himself. Drop a daisy on him, and pity the poor guy for finding no joy in life. I don't think ill of him. I know Uncle Bill wouldn't.

If anything, the whole situation just proved that even after the passing of Uncle Bill the knife community as a whole still recognizes the good will the he, Yangdu, and HI have done over the years.

Very True! That kind of honor does not fade quickly. Uncle Bill, Yangdu, and HI will always stand tall and proud in my eyes!

after reading the other thread it was obvious that he had a problem, and not anyone else. i pity him but move on, karma will win in the end. some people like uncle bill make a positive difference in the world and are remembered, some people like slamfire are forgotten quickly.

This thread reminded me of something Uncle Bill would say when some one was looking for something or asking if it existed; "I have this special (insert knife/tool you were looking for) ".

Brings back some fond memories... :)

I always thought the best part of opening those triangular boxes was reading the packing material. A few pages from the Reno Times or some flyers from some fancy store in the area. Occasionally I'd get a few pages from a Nepali newspaper. Twas a treat to see a review of an american movie from Nepal. Couldn't read a word of it though. :D

Slam-who? Wasn't he the guy that burried himself, and was never taken seriously again?

Bill
