Bio Resin

I really like canvas micarta but can't use it due to allergies. Has anyone ever made their own with a bio resin? If so, what was the result and which brand did you use?

Have a look at warwood scales. They are supposed to be made from natural products.

What is "bio resin"? I'm not familiar with that term.

I have Warwood and like it a lot, but I would like to make a canvas micarta like scale. Bio resin is a bio based product as opposed to a petrochemical product. I'm guessing Warwood has a bio resin in it.
