Birch bark puukko

I'm digging the threath with two new knives. They look almost the same but - one has 2mm longer blade, the shape of the handles are slightly different and the points of the sheaths are different too.

Steel - N690co 59-60 HRC
OAL - 250mm (~9.84")
Blade 125x23.5x5.1mm (~4.9"x0.92''x0.2'') rhombic grind
Blade finish - P800.
Handle - birch bark and bronze
Sheath - cow leather

When the new owner of the puukko from the post above received it , he was surprised by it's size (it was bigger than he expected), so this time I'll show him what a realy big puukko is

Steel - 1.2519 (german equivalent of hitachi blue 2) 60-61HRC.
OAL - 275mm (10,8")
Blade - 150Х26Х4,8mm (~5.9x1x0.19") rhombic grind
Blade - finish - 800
Handle - birch bark and bronze
Leather sheath

Time to add something a bit different here. For this one I decided to use thinner stock and because of that its saber grind with a ricasso instead of rhombic cross section. Here is how it looks like.


Steel - ELMAX 60-61HRC.
OAL - 255mm (~10")
Blade - 130Х23Х3,8mm (~5.1x0.9x0.15") flat grind with secondary bevel
Blade - finish - 800
Handle - birch bark and bronze
Leather sheath
