Hello to All, Here is a brand new very solid Bird and Trout fresh off the bench. I hope you like it.
Blade is of CPM S30V .138 thick and 3.375 in. from tip to guard. O/A is 7.625 in. Perfectly tapered tang. Heat treated in my digitally controlled Evenheat furnace cryo quenched and double tempered. SUPER SHARP LONG lasting edge. NOTE: there is a shadow on the swedge grind on the last pic.
Guard is of 416 stainless pinned and soldered. Solder fillet is uniform with NO pin holes.
Handle is Ruby Red G10 with corby rivets, lanyard hole and thin black liners. I will also add a ruby red bead with black leather lanyard if wanted.
Sheath is custom made to fit hand tooled and hand stitched 7-8 ounce leather. Knife fits very securely with a click and will not come out when shaken upside down. I make all my own sheaths and some for others including Todd Begg who you will see on his Reality show this spring on the Discovery Channel. The name of the show is (The Blade Brothers). It should be a good thing for the knife world.
This knife is pretty but is made to be used and I have always offered free sharpening from day one if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
