-Blade Material: 440C Stainless, cryogenically-treated
-Handle Materials: Bocote (top) and Thuya Burl (lower)
-Guard, pins and thong liner: 303 Stainless
-Sheaths: Vegetable-Tanned Cowhide, hand-tooled and hand-sewn by me
The black grain lines in the bocote handle of the top knife match nicely with the black sheath. The Thuya Burl handle of the lower knife has lovely figures in it. When freshly-waxed, these little swirls look almost iridescent in the light. As you handle the knife, you can see a nice depth in there. Both handles have been preserved and stabilized. A fine danish oil finish has been added, and waxed to produce a wonderful soft luster. The Thuya handle seems to compliment the British Tan sheath. These Knives are razor-sharp and should stay that way for a long time.
My sheaths are hand-sewn by me and nicely finished and preserved against the elements.
